about ashley
Ashley is a current senior at Jacksonville State University, where she majors in Communication Broadcast and minors in Film Entertainment Technology. Her interest in film production began in high school when she started as the director of the school news production and filmed football games. She has a passion for music and has been involved in multiple marching bands as a percussionist for nearly a decade. Ashley spreads her knowledge by teaching different high schools and independent groups in the southeast. She connects her passion through her radio show “Wave Theory” on WLJS 91.9 by talking about music facts, theories, and how music can impact our lives while playing related instrumental pieces.
Ashley strives to film nature documentaries and capture the most natural parts of our planet. She recently completed a film internship that allowed her to work on two documentaries as a production assistant and camera operator. Her work with Longleaf Studio helped her understand more about the different roles on a set and how to prepare for a documentary film. Ashley is a logical thinker and enjoys the logistical aspects of the job. The courses that she has taken have given her a wide understanding of the industry. They also let her create different works to be proud of.
